Woke people now claim that being nice is in relation to White supremacy

Nothing is a surprise anymore in the world we live in today. Apparently, woke individuals are stating that being “nice” is related to White supremacy. Does it explain why some of these woke individuals can be rude to those who disagree with their ideologies? When does being nice mean that you’re a hateful person?

According to the Guardian, in a letter to a friend in 1952, the outspoken white activist Juliette Hampton Morgan noted that well-behaved white people posed a big barrier to ending American white supremacy. This fearless author and educator from the South protested the deliberate exclusion of black passengers by stopping buses in Montgomery, Alabama.

Furthermore, she wrote letters to neighbourhood newspapers criticising segregation. How white civility stymied social advancement horrified her as much as the normalised abuse of black Americans. Today, some are emphasising that being nice doesn’t remove racism and a culture of niceness doesn’t signal the absence of racism.

Conservatives puzzled that being nice is now racist

However, some users state that this is why they are not nice to people. Others state that those who claim to be woke will dislike you eventhough you are still nice to them. Being nice is a way for people to behave in a civil manner from one to another. If everyone is constantly rude to each other, then how will society function?

Following that, users state that the woke individual who stated that must be full of hate. They add that if she is thinking about hate constantly, it means that she must be full of it. Many are wondering why woke individuals are fuelling themselves with hatred when being polite is a much better way to conduct one’s self.

There are several comments that people may disagree on. One of the comments states that Black people are no longer oppressed in America. They have everything they need. However, to others, the oppression may still be there, especially in the rural parts of America. In our world today, classism is a bigger issue as those with less money, even if they’re White, will have a tough time getting by.
