The last few years have been rather a fight for social justice. To the woke crowd, it seems right that a transgender swimmer is able to compete with biological women. This is despite the fact that the trans swimmer is 6 foot 4 tall and has broad shoulders. However, in the case of Riley Gaines, there are talks that women are getting bullied into accepting this as a fact.
Fox News states, an “open category” swimming event aimed at accommodating transgender athletes in Germany has been cancelled due to a lack of participant interest. Initially announced in July by World Aquatics (formerly FINA), the Berlin Swimming World Cup was set to introduce an “open category” for all swimmers.
However, with no entries received for the event, it was dropped just days before the scheduled start on October 6th. World Aquatics affirmed its commitment to exploring open category events in the future, with the potential to include them in Masters events. The move aimed to address gender inclusion concerns raised in 2022.

Feminists are upset at the whole ordeal as they feel transgender women are men trying to take advantage of biological women. Furthermore, the woke culture is seemingly eating itself up alive. The feminists appear to be more conservative these days, but there is also a split in the community. This is similar to the LGBTQ+ community where views and opinions are also split.

Several conservatives are giving sarcastic replies in the comments section stating that trans women love sports, hence why they are fighting to compete in one. However, the irony is that when a category is done for them, they refuse to join. Conservatives find this suspicious as they feel biological men who are not even actually transgender are using this as a loophole.
Unfortunately, the real casualties of this whole ordeal are the people who are genuinely transgender. Furthermore, the amount of hate and transphobia that is directed to them simply because of this is concerning.

Following that, conservatives are adamant that allowing trans women to compete with biological women is meant to dismantle the whole women’s sports. It is also unfortunate to women like Riley Gaines who have worked their entire lives to win competitions, only to be trumped by an individual that is obviously bigger and stronger than her.
