“Gorlock The Destroyer” influencer receiving sympathy from social media users

This year, a plus sized transgender influencer who claims to be a 10/10 has gotten viral on all social medias. However, it is sad to know that users are labelling her as “Gorlock The Destroyer” as it does seem a little too harsh. On X, some users are still leaving her with little to no sympathy.

According to Know Your Meme, during a late April 2023 appearance on the Whatever Podcast alongside smaller co hosts, blogger Ali C. Lopez earned the humorous moniker “Gorlock the Destroyer.” The resulting jests and memes about her appearance include videos dubbing her voice with that of Jabba the Hutt from Star Wars.

Furthermore, the viral wave began when Twitter user @RichardRatBoy1 playfully naming Lopez as “Gorlock the Destroyer” in a tweet, accumulating over 11,000 retweets and 150,000 likes. Subsequently, an edited clip from the podcast featuring Jabba the Hutt’s voice-over gained traction, with over 4.1 million views. These comedic references spread across Twitter and TikTok, fueling the meme’s popularity.

Mixed comments about “Gorlock The Destroyer”

Recently, Ali was brought on to a show in relation to blind dating. However, the video went viral on X as well with a clip showing a man who was clearly not interested in her at all. The man said some profanities and left the scene. X users state that she may not be the conventionally attractive person, but it is unfair to treat another person like that.

Unfortunately for her, there are several mean comments on X as well in relation to her. Users state that there isn’t any substance that could be abused enough for them to be with her. Tastes and attractiveness may vary for various individuals, but to accentuate it this way is still rather unkind.

The comments section in the original video shows strong support towards Ali, as users are trying to give her strength. A user states that she managed to keep a brave face and calmly reacted to everyone who said awful things to her. Some users went on stating that she was the one that won that day.

Others feel that what Ali is going through is a form of bullying, and most Gen-Z folks, whether they are conservatives or liberals, do not agree with this.
