North West shares that she has dyslexia

North West, the eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, recently disclosed that she has dyslexia during a live TikTok video with her mother. In the video, the 10-year-old mentioned her condition and asked viewers if they knew what dyslexia was. Kim Kardashian playfully commented on North’s candid revelation, referring to it as “spilling the tea.”

Dyslexia is a learning disorder characterized by difficulties in reading, stemming from challenges in recognizing speech sounds and their connection to letters and words, as per the Mayo Clinic.

Keeping things under wraps

The video did not provide additional details about North’s experience with dyslexia, as Kardashian shared that she purposely doesn’t discuss her daughter’s personal matters. No immediate response was received when Page Six reached out to Kardashian’s team for a comment.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed North in June 2013, and they have three other children: son Saint (born in 2015), daughter Chicago (born in 2018), and son Psalm (born in 2019). Since Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce was finalized in November 2022, North has been spending time with her mother.

Spending quality time together

In July, they enjoyed water sports in Idaho, and the mother-daughter duo was seen tubing on Lake Coeur d’Alene in exclusive photos obtained by Page Six. The following month, they traveled to Tokyo, where Kim Kardashian was photographed jumping rope with her daughter. North also attended Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” tour in Los Angeles with her mom, grandmother Kris Jenner, aunt Khloé Kardashian, and cousin Penelope Disick.

Kim Kardashian, who has had the majority of custody of her children since her divorce, recently revealed that she hired a male nanny, often referred to as a “manny,” to help with her kids in her “female-dominated” household. She initially feared telling Kanye West about the new employee but shared that he has been cordial and even interacted with the children.
