New Yorkers blaming Biden for migrant crisis, conservatives say they should blame themselves

A few years ago, there were massive disagreements on building the wall as Trump called it from those living in blue states like New York. However, with the new migrant crisis coming into these states, it seems that those previously who were keen to have illegal immigrants in their places are no longer as keen.

According to the New York Post, a recent Siena College poll exposes New York voters’ dissatisfaction with President Biden’s handling of the migrant crisis. An overwhelming 84% of respondents view the influx of migrants as a serious issue, with 57% deeming it “very” serious. Only 12% believe it’s not a serious problem.

Furthermore, the poll indicates that 64% of voters disapprove of the Biden administration’s management of the situation, while only 29% approve. Even in traditionally Democratic New York, the crisis at the southern border appears to erode President Biden’s popularity. Siena College pollster Steve Greenberg noted that it remains a top concern for voters.

New Yorkers blaming Biden for migrant crisis

There are several sarcastic responses made by X users. A user states that New Yorkers are ready to blame everyone except for themselves. This is due to them voting for this very policy to be in place. Furthermore, those in the southern states have always been against illegal immigrants from coming into America.

However, there are some users who are not blaming President Biden at all for the surge of illegal immigrants coming into New York. Despite this, conservatives are firm that he is the one that opened the floodgates. Following that, having immigrants can be a positive addition, if they have the proper qualifications and are clear of having bad records.

In addition to this, it seems that many feel the one third who are apparently alright with having illegal immigrants must be said illegal immigrants themselves. Furthermore, some claim that those supporting it must be gaining from it somehow. Regardless, these are strong accusations towards certain individuals.

At the end of the day, having unchecked illegal immigrants coming into one’s country isn’t a positive thing. Currently, the world is facing a global recession and there are problems spreading all over the world.
