Donald Trump has spoken up about a recent report in the New York Times alleging that he has asked his wife, Melania Trump to walk around in light clothing by the pool in Mar-a-Lago.
The report says he asked her to do so “so all the other guys could get a look at what they were missing.”
Trump is said to have made the remark to Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt and according to the New York Times report he also spoke to Pratt about the number of nuclear warheads that US submarines carry. According to the audio recordings from 60 Minutes Australia, Pratt had said that Trump had asked his wife to do that. Pratt had also said that Melania had then replied, “I’ll do that when you walk around with me in yours.”
Trump said that it was Fake News and wrote about it on his Truth Social site on October 22.
He did not respond directly about the statement but condemned the New York Times instead saying, “The Failing New York Times story, leaked by Deranged Jack Smith and the Biden ‘Political Opponent Abuser’ DOJ, about a red-haired weirdo from Australian named Anthony Pratt, is Fake News,” he wrote.
“I never spoke to him about Submarines, but I did speak to him about creating jobs in Ohio and Pennsylvania because that’s what I’m all about – JOBS, A GREAT ECONOMY, LOW TAXES, NO INFLATION, ENERGY DOMINANCE, STRONG BORDERS, NO ENDLESS WARS, LOW-INTEREST RATES, and much more!, wrote Trump.
He also said that one of the journalists from the report, Maggie Haberman never called him for a comment about the pool report.
“Why would they, they just write anything they want. Whether it’s correct or not is of ZERO importance to them. ‘All the News That’s Unfit to Prince. That’s why we call it the Fake News!”
Pratt is the owner of the US-based cardboard company Pratt Industries and is also a member of Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s luxury country club located in Palm Beach, Florida.
