Paris Hilton has expressed her distress regarding the response to a recent photograph of her 8-month-old son, Phoenix Barron. She took to her Instagram Story to convey her disappointment over the “unacceptable” targeting of her child by some of her followers who made hurtful comments. On October 19, Hilton shared a series of pictures of her son, Phoenix, whom she shares with her husband, Carter Reum, to commemorate his first visit to New York City. The negative feedback on the post was brought to her attention by a TikTok user, leading Hilton to respond by emphasizing that her child is perfectly healthy, with an enlarged brain.
Pride and joy versus haters
In a subsequent Instagram Story post, Hilton further elaborated on her response to the comments about Phoenix’s head, expressing her dismay that people would target her child or anyone else’s in this manner. She revealed that the public’s reaction has deeply wounded her, given her efforts to create an environment based on love, respect, and acceptance. She also discussed the challenges of being a mother in the public eye, as there are criticisms whether she shares photos of her baby or not. She stated her pride in being a working mom and emphasized her son’s health and charm as well as the joy he brings to her life.
Lifelong dream
Hilton shared her lifelong dream of becoming a mother and how every day with her son is a reminder of what truly matters to her. She concluded her statement by expressing hope for greater kindness and empathy in how people treat one another. Hilton and Reum welcomed Phoenix through a surrogate on January 16, 2023, after getting married in 2021, and Hilton mentioned that her parents, Kathy Hilton and Rick Hilton, are a significant source of support in raising their child.
