Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz was pranked by his own children on national television recently at the Democratic National Convention.
Instead of getting upset when he found out about the prank, he responded very good-naturedly. The prank involved his kids, Hope and Gus, putting bunny ears on him as he conducted a short interview with his wife, Gwen, seated next to him.
The television clip was shared on X by one viewer. The individual captioned the video, “Tim Walz’s kids doing bunny ears behind him while he’s on national TV at the DNC is the most relatable, Minnesota content.”
Walz, who saw the video going viral, commented on X. “My kids keep me humble.”

Many people responded well to Walz’s post on X and praised him and his family for keeping things real.
“Keep it up, nice to have a human being that can actually relate with the majority of the country in the White House. See you soon,” was one comment.
Another one went as follows, “You and your family bring light to our country again. Thank you Sir.”
One other comment was, “I like that you’re a good sport about it and you’ve got a sense of humor.”
Family man
Many people are finding Walz to be a down-to-earth person, and Swifties are ust happy to support him as he expressed frustration in the past when he was unable to get Taylor Swift concert tickets due to some ticketing issue.
Sixty-year-old Walz has two children. He met his wife when they were both high school teachers. Gwen was then an English teacher in Alliance, Nebraska.
They got married in 1994 and moved to Mankato, Minnesota, where they both continued teaching.
Their daughter Hope was born in 2001, after both of them went through fertility treatments for seven years at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. That is why they named their daughter Hope.
Gus Walz is still in high school and lives with them in St Paul, Minnesota.
The Democratic National Convention started on Aug 19 and will end on Aug 22.
